Developing New Opportunities with All-Abilities
Russell Edwards and Vicki Morrow, from the Melbourne All-Abilities Lions Club and New Voices of 201V5, are passionate about a simple but powerful idea: that we shouldn’t just be “serving” people with disabilities, we should be serving with them. By changing the way we see things, Russell and Vicki believe we can open doors for members of all abilities to lead, develop and inspire from the very centre of our clubs. This collaborative spirit is exactly what the Lions International New Voices initiative is all about – making sure every voice is heard and valued. When we work as one to clear away barriers, we strengthen the Lions family and help people build new pathways. It’s about building a club that doesn’t just serve the community, but truly belongs to it, creating new opportunities for everyone to shine.
Cyber Security
This session provides clubs with practical tips, hints, and strategies to stay cyber safe and secure in today’s digital world. Participants will explore key topics including identifying and avoiding scams, creating strong passwords and passphrases, implementing multifactor authentication for added security, and understanding the risks associated with using public Wi-Fi networks. By the end of the session, attendees will be better equipped to protect themselves and their clubs from common cyber threats.
