Lend a Hand Before Arriving at Convention
As we count down to the 2026 Convention at the Adelaide Showgrounds, we’re inviting all Lions, Leos, family members and friends to get involved before you even arrive.
Our Leos are leading a heartfelt initiative to support clients of the Hutt St Centre and they need your help.
The goal? To donate 350 handmade beanies during the Convention to the Hutt St Centre. These simple, thoughtful items will provide warmth and comfort to people doing it tough in our community.
How You Can Get Involved
We’re calling on our Lions community across Australia to:
- Knit or crochet beanies (we’ve included a simple pattern below, but feel free to use your favourite!)
- Rally your clubs, friends and family to contribute
- Bring your finished items along to Convention or pass them to someone who is attending
More Ways We’re Giving Back
This is just one of several hands-on service projects happening around Convention:
- Toiletry Packs for Hutt St Centre, assembling 350 care packs to be donated
- Dog Toys for Lions Assistance Dogs – Supporting the training of future assistance dogs
- Supporting the Hear Me Roar! Project by making cushions, port pillows and sensory toys.
This convention is more than just listening to speakers and networking, it’s about service, connection and making a real impact. By contributing ahead of time, you’re helping us create a meaningful legacy that extends well beyond the event itself.
