Lions Eye Health Program Training
One of the most impactful ways Lions serve their communities is through protecting and preserving sight. At the upcoming convention, attendees will have the opportunity to take part in training sessions for the Lions Eye Health Program (LEHP), helping more Lions become involved in delivering vital vision screening within their communities.
These hands-on sessions will introduce participants to the purpose and process of community vision screening, including how to use screening equipment, how to conduct basic assessments, and how to guide individuals toward professional eye care when further support is needed. Vision screening programs play an important role in identifying potential eye health issues early, particularly for children and vulnerable members of the community who may otherwise go undiagnosed.
By attending the training, Lions will gain the confidence and knowledge needed to support vision screening initiatives in their local clubs and districts. Expanding the number of trained volunteers strengthens the reach of LEHP and ensures that more people across Australia can access early eye health checks.
Whether your club is already involved in vision screening or you’re looking to start a new service project, this training session is a fantastic opportunity to learn, connect and make a real difference in the prevention of avoidable vision loss.
Be sure to include this valuable training in your convention program and take another step in continuing Lions’ long-standing commitment to sight and community wellbeing.
