Childhood Cancer Expert to Speak in Adelaide

We’re delighted to announce that Affiliate Professor Jordan Hansford, a leading expert in childhood cancer research and clinical care, will be joining us as a guest speaker at the Lions Australia MD 201 National Convention in Adelaide, May 2026.

Affiliate Professor Hansford is a highly respected paediatric oncologist, best known for his ground-breaking work in treating childhood brain tumours and for leading innovative clinical trials that bring new hope to families.

Many Lions will know Jordan through his close connection with the Australian Lions Childhood Cancer Research Foundation (ALCCRF). His research is directly supported by Lions across the country — and at the Convention, we’ll have the opportunity to hear how that support is changing lives.

Jordan will share insights on the progress being made in the fight against childhood cancer, the impact of Lions-funded research, and what the future holds in this critical area of care. His presentation promises to be both deeply informative and emotionally powerful.
